Monday, January 30th, 2006Okay, I am really slacking here. I just feel so tired, sick, and LAZY. Really, I haven’t had much energy to do anything. I haven’t even read, one of my favorite things, for a long time.
Thank goodness, nausea seems to be taking it easier on me gradually. I still feel sick once or twice a day, but at least it’s not taking my whole day away. For a while, it’s so painful to get up and face the day when you know you are going to feel sick all day long.
We heard our little one’s beautiful and strong heartbeat back on Jan 16. It was so exciting. Too bad I didn’t bring a tape recorder with me because I didn’t anticipate it. (Some people say you don’t always get to hear the HB earlier than 10 weeks.) My blood pressure and urine test were all good. As far as I know, my blood work results came back all clear. Toxoplasmosis test came back negative, which is a big relief. I demanded another blood test to see if I have Thalassemia trait a few days later and it was all clear as well. Praise the Lord!!!
I finally told my family the wonderful news. They were really happy and excited. I am so looking forward to their visit here after the baby is born!!
We went to visit my brother-in-law over the weekend. We got there in the afternoon and he took us to a beautiful forest near by to have a walk. I was nervous to fall (trail is covered by snow) but all’s well. I was glad to get an exercise. We then went to a very nice French restaurant. Our waiter is actually from France. Really interesting. We ordered snails and roasted duck with cabbage. They were SO good. I like how we cooked the snails in Taiwan better though.
I am not showing too much yet. I’ve heard on Internet that some people are just slow to show. I wish to have a bump soon and everyone can tell I’m pregnant. I am going to have my NT scan next week. I pray for a blessing on our little one. I hope everything will be on track.
